Who Are a&l lTD?

Established in 2000, A&L Builders Ltd’s reputation for good quality craftsmanship has grown rapidly throughout the Cotswolds and surrounding areas.

Mick and Graham bring years of experience within the construction industry and with their talented team they cover all aspects of domestic construction. We employ skilled local tradesmen and our work is of a high standard. We have good long term relationships with local architects, engineers and associated specialists.

We are one of the few building firms who take on apprentices thereby handing down traditional quality craftsmanship that would otherwise be lost. Over the last 12 years we have trained 6 young local people through our approved apprenticeship scheme.

Communication is key to a successful project and we aim to keep our clients fully informed at all times throughout the process. Listening carefully and working closely with our clients at all times helps bring their dreams to life.

Graham and Mick set up A&L Builders Ltd in 2000 after both having a lifetime of experience in the building trade and a passion to offer a service that is above and beyond people's expectations. They pride themselves on their wealth of experience in every type of building from contemporary, timber frame to heritage projects including traditional Cotswold stone work.

Quality

At A&L Builders Ltd we are proud of the excellent quality of our work. To maintain our standards we actively recruit and train apprentices as we believe investing in people is the best way to retain the best tradesmen in the business. We are also long standing members of the Federation of Master Builders and have long term relationships with Building Inspectors, Planners and Conservation Officers

Every project undertaken is assigned an experienced site manager who oversea's the daily work. Graham and Mick always ensure that at least one of them visit each project on a regular basis to offer advice where needed. They appreciate that it can be hard to start a new building project so are happy to offer assistance where needed on aspects such as regulations, finding an architect and can even offer full project management should you require it. They pride themselves on an excellent record of customer satisfaction.

Our customers right to privacy is paramount to us. We always ensure absolute discretion for all our customers and we promise to only share images of work we've carried out if you have agreed we can. In addition to this we guarantee not to pass on any of our customers information to third parties unless it is absolutely necessary and permission has been given.

Listed Buildings

We have the knowledge, skills and experience working alongside local council conservation officers to restore your listed property.

New Builds

From initial consultation through to completion we will guide you through the stage by stage process of a new development.

Renovations

From structural alterations, layout remodelling, electrical, heating, plumbing, drainage, carpentry, plastering and decoration, we can cover all your needs.

Extensions

We specialise in home extensions to create additional living space for today’s modern lifestyle.

In addition to the services above, due to our exceptional local connections we are also able to offer the following services:

Damp Proofing

We work alongside local contractors to provide initial surveys and to carry out damp proof installations for walls, floors, cellars, pump systems and flood gates.

Heating & Plumbing

New heating systems, boiler replacement, underfloor heating, renewable energy systems. We have the specialists required to cover all requirements.

Roofing

Natural stone, reconstituted stone, blue slate, concrete tiles and GRP (glass reinforced plastic).

Electrical

We have quality sub contracting electricians who work alongside ourselves to carry out all works from complete rewires to single socket adjustments.

Joinery

Staircases, windows, internal and external doors covered, storage space, skirting and architraves.

Decorating

All aspects from single rooms to complete houses. All internal and external works covered.

Plastering

Standard Plastering: Base coat, top coat, with skim finish Dry Lining: Plasterboard sheets dabbed to your walls using specialist bonding compound with skim finish. Lime Plastering: Using specialist sand and lime products to create the right result. With our lime supplier locally based advice and knowledge is at hand for all situations.
